Program-
12 - 11/05/2005
Now that the
HOTSPOT series is drawing to an end, the excitement is rising, the
competition is getting tougher and the prizes are getting better.
This week’s program was living proof of this. Apart from the
competition itself, where the participants gave brilliant
interpretations of the songs they chose, the program was filled with
many features and the guest judge, Georgina, sang her very own ‘Nota
ta’ vjolin’. This week Daniel and Owen interviewed the participants
during their intensive fitness class with Alison White. The
highlight of last week’s show was the announcement of the latest
superb prize, a scholarship at the Leicester College of Performing
Arts.
Good luck to the
five remaining contestants … may the best one win! |

for the programme, but for the students themselves who gave
him such a warm welcome. Another highlight in the programme
was Louise Tedesco's surprise to Hector. Louise managed to

were he had to make a pizza...a very different
experience. The results came in and Marco Calleja was
eliminated. Before the show ended Hollie Cassar
announced that she had to resign due to other
commitments and thus the participants had to choose who
was to take Hollie’s place. The participants had to
choose between Marco Calleja, Mauro Kitcher and Mario

games moves on. |

The second program started
off with the four semi-finalists singing a song each. It

third place in the Malta Song for urope festival this
year. A feature made by Daniel Chircop and Owen Bonnici
was also shown during the program. The 4 students spend
a day together in Hotel where they had various
activities all planned by Daniel and Owen themselves. It
was a very funny and sweet feature which allowed the

moment of truth followed: the televoting result. The
person to be chosen was James Xuereb, he got most votes.
A surprise followed: one of the 14 finalists resigned
and thus it was announced that the runner up would also
be chosen and so Anne Marie Ellul joined the group, a

Stapely were eliminated form the game but surely we’ll
see them again due to the great potential they both
have. |
